Joining the Cultra today is our special guest Brian Vanderheiden. No not Brian Roccapriore, he’s not that Brian. The language used in most of our shows is as explicit and as raw as the trails we run on, so don’t listen to this with your kids, and if that stuff offends you too much, this is definitely not the episode for you.
Brian Vanderheiden is a really great guy who has breathed new life into the trail running scene in South West Connecticut and New York. He has run some of the toughest races in New York, and serves as a race director for the many great trail races that his company Steep Endurance puts on in conjunction with his racing team, and coaching services.
We get a chance to hear the details of Steep Endurance’s upcoming races, including Mountain Lakes Backyard Ultra, a last man Standing race where you will have a chance to earn a spot in Laz’s Big’s Backyard.
Time flies for us in this longer than usual episode as we also discuss a few more Facebook grievances and give you our thoughts on the trend of attacking race directors for their decisions.
